Guide to conquering a level 12 historical city on Age 2
A historical city is a "capital city" of a state or region in age 2. If you own a historical city, you have the authority to
set policies on cities in that state, policies such as to impose tax on other cities, levy food,
disarm 10% of any city's troops, draft 10% of any city's troops and re-deploy population , all this
without ever having to attack or colonize cities. So it is possible to call a historical city
a "loose" form of government in age 2 .
This guide was created on Age 2 Beta specificaions.
Historical cities in Age 2 Live differs from Age 2 beta on lot of points. Firstly,
A level 12 Historical city in Age 2 Live contains:
- 1,120,000 warriors
- 162,666 Swords
- 42,807 Archers
- 108,444 Cataphracts
- 14,640 Ballista
Depending on your heors level and attack points (Lv 100+, attk 200+), Age 2 Live's 1,120,000 (1.12 milion) warriors
will require up to 8 rainbowed clearing waves containing 1k warriors, 1k pikes, 1k scouts, 1k swords and 95k archers.
And thats just to clear the warriors and the etcs..
After the 8 clearing waves, 40 spam waves of 10 cavalry/30k warriors or 30k warriors/20k archers are required
to bring loyalty down to 0.
Never attempt to conquer a level 12 historical city if your attack hero is less than a level 100 hero and
has less than 200 attack points.
And also, all your research should be at level 10 and a level 10 rally spot is a must.
Have the warhorn, corselet, penicillin activated as these buffs boost the attack immensely.
Firstly, your barracks should contain enough troops before conquering a level 12 historical city
as the number of troops gradually reduces with each attack wave. A good troop count to keep in mind
would be 500,000 warriors, 500,000 archers and so on.
The plus side with 500,000 warriors and 500,000 archers in your barracks is
you can dispatch troops without having to wait for a hero and troops to return.
Layering
The first wave is meant to clear the way. Layer the first wave with:
1000 warriors,
1000 scouts,
1000 swords,
1000 pikes and
95000 archers.
This configuration will enable the first wave to clear a level 12 historical city's 280,000 warriors,
its wall defences, troops and traps in one single blow. The remaining waves are meant to
knock loyalty down to 0. Expect archer losses to be in the 50,000 to 60,000 range.
Your strategy
- Teleport right next to the level 12 historical city, one or two flats away if possible.
- Initiate the attack with a hero who's attack point is 200 or higher.
- Immediately send the remaining heros to attack the historical city every 10 or so seconds.
Attack and "spam" waves
Execute your attack in a tight time interval between the attack waves as a level 12 historical city
regenerates troops and wall defences at a tremendously fast rate.

Once loyalty has been brought down to 0 then up to 10 additional waves are required
before the level 12 historical city becomes "conquered successfully".
